1st Prize Sativa, Lift Expo Canada Vancouver 2016 3rd Prize Hash, Lift Expo Canada Vancouver 2016 2nd Prize Sativa, Prairie Medicinal Harvest Cup Cananda 2016 As soon as it was released in 1997 Power Plant became an instant success, a heavy yielding and highly stable classic. Power Plant is a mostly sativa variety from South Africa and the original version is only available from Dutch Passion. It is a heavy yielder for indoor, greenhouse and outdoor gardens (does well in Mediterranean climates) with bumper yields of 500-600 grams/m2 and is popular with recreational and medical users. It was only ever inbred by us, never hybridised, and remains a pure and stable strain with a great and well deserved reputation. When it was first released every coffeeshop wanted Power Plant on their menu and it is still found in Dutch coffeeshops today. Power Plant is rich in THC and delivers a formidable strong „up‟ high with a fresh flavour, smooth/soft smoke and sweet after- taste. The plants reach 1-1.5m tall and the buds are often 30+cm long, with small leaves in them.

What it is

Power Plant is a classic mostly sativa variety from Dutch Passion Seed Company, originally built from South African genetics and released back in 1997. It earned a reputation fast as a stable, heavy yielding plant, and it has stayed in rotation with growers ever since. Dutch Passion has taken awards with it, including a first place sativa finish at the Lift Expo in Vancouver in 2016.

Taste and how people describe it

The smell is usually described as sharp and peppery, with earthy wood underneath and a faint sweetness on the exhale. Some batches lean more herbal, almost incense like, which is common with older South African leaning lines.

As for effects, people who smoke sativa forward flower like this often report:

A clear, awake headspace
An uplifted, talkative mood
Body feel that stays light rather than heavy

Effects vary from person to person and from batch to batch, so your experience may not match someone else's.

Good to know

Cannabinoid numbers on the label come from a tested sample and shift between harvests. Start with a small amount if you are new to sativa leaning flower, then adjust once you know how it lands for you. Adults 21 and over across the San Fernando Valley can order it for delivery.
