$100 Ounce of the Day - Silky Purp

What it is

Silky Purp is the current Ounce of the Day pick, a full ounce of bulk flower packed for people who go through a lot of jar smoke and want one strain to sit with for a while. The name points to purple color in the buds, which is common in cultivars that finish in cooler rooms. Trim, structure and density on bulk ounces shift from run to run, so expect some variation in bud size across the bag.

Taste and how people describe it

Purple leaning flower usually reads sweet and a little grapey, with a soft floral note on the exhale. Smokers tend to describe this style as mellow and body forward, the kind of thing you roll up after the day is done rather than before a long drive. Some people find it clear headed at a low dose and heavier as they keep going. Effects vary by person and by batch.

Good to know

• Sold by the ounce, so store it in a sealed glass jar away from heat and light.
• Grind fresh rather than all at once to keep the aroma.
• Start with a small amount if the strain is new to you.
