THC drinks explained: what 100 mg in a bottle means and how people drink them
Drinks are the fastest growing shelf in the shop and the one with the most questions, mostly because a soda looks like something you finish in one go. Here is how to think about it.
A bottle is a package, not a serving
Almost every drink we carry is labeled 100 mg of THC per container. That is the same total as a full pack of gummies. A 10 mg serving is a tenth of the bottle. The nice thing about drinks is that measuring is easy: pour a tenth, cap it, put the rest in the fridge.
Drinks also tend to come on faster than gummies for many people, sometimes in twenty to thirty minutes, so the wait-and-see rule still applies but the wait is shorter.
What we carry
- 4 fl oz shots: small non-carbonated bottles in flavors like Blue Razz, Strawberry Lemonade and Energy Blast. Some are blends: Daytime Watermelon pairs THC with CBC, and Nighttime Snooze Berries pairs THC with CBN.
- High Tea, 12 fl oz: iced teas in Lemon Drip, Maui Mango, Georgia Peach, Lychee Pear and Wild Raspberry, plus High Punch. Non-carbonated, easy to split.
- Not Your Father's, 16 oz: the root beer people know from the beer aisle, now as a 100 mg cannabis soda, alongside Orange Cream Soda and Fruit Punch.
- ST IDES: sodas in Cherry Cola and Alpine Splash. Alpine Splash also has caffeine in it, so read the can.
Mixing with alcohol
Do not. It is the fastest way to have a bad night, and it is the one piece of advice every budtender agrees on.
Storage
Refrigerate after opening. Once open, an unfinished bottle is a 90 mg bottle sitting in the fridge, so label it if you share the kitchen.
